This is actuall simliar to what I was going to do.
My skin was originally going to make everything slide, and I was going to add an eq and thinger to it as well as a playlist. (That shows three things till you click another button to expand it vertically.) My design never planed on skining the ML.
Mid terms are keeping me from doing alot of work on it for now. Also I got to thinking that while animations are cool looking functionality is nummber one in my book so I don't think that in mine I will be animating since it will no doubt get annoying over time. Plague I thought I would say this now so I don't get called a theif again. So in sum the thinger will comeout of the top the Eq the bottem, extended player functions the right and playlist left. My square will probably have some button (most likly small metal like tabs) on each side expose these features. For now though I will just be skining the main player functions (right side). Other than fundimental application problems I wonder how you plan to overcome a major hurdle I was thinking of. How do you force the user to keep the eq, thinger and pl (and in your case ml) docked to the player? |

How do you force the user to keep the eq, thinger and pl (and in your case ml) docked to the player? --- I have absolutly NO idea! I'm just playing around with it, I guess it will take some time to make this skin as it is my first, right now I'm just struggling with the damn graphics and it's going slow, very slow. As long as your skin doesn't look TOO much like my design (a rip), it's fine by me. And I trust you in that manner. --The Plague |

That forcing is easy
![]() Just make a drawer (slide out layer) with the pl on it and make it resizable

But then how do you enable multiple views of that drawer? Can you have a drawer in a drawer? If so then my idea could work in that fashion.
BTW I ment to post this in theplague's thread... must have click the wrong button. I glad people still understood what I was talking about. |

I'll just have to beat you to the door that why you can't call my implementation a rip
Like I said though no animation of panels in mine as I think that would get old unless they were very quick. The whole point of my skin is to take up the least space to reveal the most funtionality

I'll just have to beat you to the door that why you can't call my implementation a rip --- Well, I did post my basic drawing of it before you did so... But I still trust you about not making a rip. I also believe you'll release your's much much faster than me, cuz I'm not working fast at all on mine. Just hope that, because of that, people won't accuse ME of making a rip of my OWN skin! ![]() [Edit] Oh, and in case you wonder, I'm currently trying to make it look metallic but it's very hard to make it look good. But I think metallic would look the best. [/Edit] |
