Legal or not to broadcast?
Here in sweden radio stations have to pay "stimm" money to play records on the radio.. which I suppose goes to the record companys.. otherwise they are not allowed to do it.. what about internet radio?
Is it legal to play songs from major groups on the net? |

I think if you have any more than 32 simultaneous listeners then yeh you have to pay royalties any less than that then you dont. (not sure though) check with the "PRS" the people who collect royalties.

did you know if you have more then 2 speakers in a business that has customers IE: starbucks, if you play any music protected by copyright the law demands you pay royalties.although no one ever does anything about it, but they could, so im not sure but, if you play music you dont own the copyright to to just one person other then private listening your breaking the law. (next time your at starbucks ask them about the music they play and the special cd's, they play special cd's those cd's are the only ones their cd player will played in the cd player they have, they pay royalties on that music thye play)
