I understand that 16bit images appear darker, so for

I can possibly understand the reasoning behind the numbers being dark
but can someone tell me what the hell happened to this one? and should I resubmit it?

neither are very great skins. they were in the top 5 first skins I ever made so don't be too harsh. just tell me what I can do to fix the problems on them.

A LOT of my skins screen shots look really blurred and bad. I think Winamp would be better off using a gif compression instead of jpg (since most people use gif compression/256 colors on their bmps, at least I do..) Anywayz, I found the problem and trying to fix it. Those 2 skins are an eyesore as they are now. Debating on cursors, but I dont think they're worthy of giving anything other than my default cursors... will keep thinking about it, and in the meantime I'm working on getting those 2 updated for correct compression so they're not all retarded looking, missing components and stuff.
I really thought I had fixed it before submission, sorry if I wasted anyones time here.

photoshop reads the bitmap as indexed - 8 bit, and (probably compressed then) winamp.com's screenshot machine likes none of these things - even indexing can sometimes bite you in the ass. Just a fluke - I didn't notice it while reviewing - I was looking at the actual skin. You want I should modify your comment (or mine) to reflect the fact that the titlebar is okay?

BG, no worries, I went ahead and fixed the compression and made custom cursors for both of those skins (since you didn't like the default ones for the purple skin, and I figured while I"m at it I"d go head and add animated cursors to the one with the lights, it looks better but they're still simple)

I do have a question for you though, you checked all of my October 4th skins and Most of my October 3rd skins... but there are 3 still sitting there from october 3rd waiting to be reviewed. I'm wondering if they're lost? maybe? (components from 10/03 - 76574; 76229; 77114) seeing as how the original upload was sometime mid august or so.

Why do the text areas appear to be dark grey...they are actually light grey...?

this is more than a bit darker...

oh and maybe someone can tell me what happend to the star rating...please

...the stars are now 2/1/2...looks like the staff rating isn't used to calculate the final rating...somehow strange...is anyone of the revieweres around...please?
