what tells the playlist window etc to place certain buttons?

I'm now to skining the playlist ml, etc. But I do not want all of the things the defaulf skin has. I have edited the studio-elements and the components-elements to suit me. But the buttons I removed have the missing image button. What file controls what is placed were for the pl, ml etc?
