AIM Winamp Plugin

I was thinking that i woudl like to build a plugin where i could have Winamp automatically update an AIM away message. For example:

I'm listening to Music
Song: Some Song
Artist: Some Guy

I am well versed in C++ and i was wondering if anyone can point me if the right direction as to how i can accomplish that. Thanx.
