Avs static when line in:\\

Hello
I´m thinking on showing avs´s on partyes,
It´s all figured out exept for one little thing:
The avs stays static when the play location is linein:\\ (go ficgure)
I think it´s important to solve thins since it´s necesary to make de avs catch the live music´s beat
so, how do I do.?

I´ve done this so far.
1. plugged my discman to my line in jack on my sound card
2. I´ve selected "linein:\\" as location to play on the play location prompt (Ctrl+L)
3. hit play, open the avs window and it´s static,

note: when i hit play, it displays 0 kbps and 0khz just for a fraction of a second
Any help.?

reading the link you kindly provided me y realized that it´s necesary to use this slashes >//< instead of this other ones >\\<
in order to make the thing work
things like this just do happen.
