Couple of playlist bugs

Hmm.. something you havn't noticed yet... This is kind of a suggestion, but: When you choose "Play Audio CD x:/" it totally wipes your playlist. Some CDs can't add to the playlist, because 'Audioxx.cda' isn't there - it's been hidden because of the enhanced video thing. So, an option to add an Audio CD to playlist would be nice.

Also, when you choose "Play Audio CD x:/" when there's no CD, it would be better to give an error message, rather than wiping the whole playlist.

If those were bugs/suggestions I don't know, but it's something for the next version, and something which needs to be fixed. Good luck in 2.x and 3 ^_^

you can save playlist containing 'hidden' cda files, then add it to your playlist whenever you feel like

Lazyness

Yeah, I know... but for lazy bastards, like most of us, it's annoying when you have to go to add audio CD x:/ just for 1 or 2 songs, then add all the particular mp3s again. It's not much, I know, but at least it makes Winamp better. ^_^

ok, "Add Audio CD X:" command would be cool. but it should go to the wishlist forum rather than here.

It's on winamp anyway, I'm saying "Add Audio CD x:/ to playlist" should be on it. It's the annoyingness which makes it a bug. I think. o_o;

I think peter meant it would be cool if "Add Audio CD x:/" was in the ADD Button menu in the Playlist Editor. Currently you can only add file/dir/url, whereas the only way to play an enhanced CD is to use main menu -> Play Audio CD x:/

This is why topics like this should be posted in the Wishlist Forum, because it is a request for a feature and NOT a bug.

He also meant that you should save your current playlist first, then goto "Play Audio CD x:/", remove the unwanted trax from the playlist, then go back to Add button and add your saved playlist. Naturally, you may also need to drag the new cda files toward the bottom of the list first, then resave the playlist.

Yeah, sure, this is a bit of a pain, but only takes a matter of seconds to achieve, regardless of how lazy you/we might be

Besides, why would anyone want to add Audio CD trax to their main playlist when you can only play them if the actual CD is in the drive. You don't have multiple CD-ROM drives (like more than 10 or something) hooked upto your system by any chance do ya?

What I do is to enable multiple instances, keep the main playlist intact in the first instance in the background, open a new instance to play extra trax/Audio CD's, close the new instance when done, thus leaving the original instance still open with the original playlist. Piece of cake

Heh.

Ok, fair enough... =P

Yeah, ok, wishlist time... I think it would be more suitable in the 'Play' menu,
"File
Dir.
Loc.
----
Audio CD x:
Add Audio CD x to playlist
-----
etc."

But, of course, it would also be good in the 'add' button in the playlist... aswell as there. Ah, do what you want, this is only a suggestion after all.

Of course, I oft' mix *.mp3s with *.cda tracks, and I'm sure a lot of other people do. I'm also aware that it's not much at all for a Winamp wishlist... but it makes it better, at least (like I said before).

When you want to use a CD just hold the SHIFT key for at least 15 seconds after you insert the cd , then go to the explorer and go to your unit cd. There select all your files, do the normal "right" click with you mouse and then enqueue all the files you would like to play in Winamp.

I hope this work for you. Bye.
