I am new to Shoutcast and Broadcasting...

I run a highly successful rock / metal / alternative website STRENGTH BEYOND STRENGTH at: www.s-b-s.i12.com

We would like to start broadcasting any time now and I am completely stuck with what to do. Please help me and I will give you a bug big thanks you on my site...

I have the latest Winamp and have installed the Shoutcast Source DSP 1.8.2a.

When I go to configure it this is what settings I have:

OUTPUT:

Output 1: Status: Not Connected
Connect At Startup: Not ticked

Address: localhost
Port: 8000
Password: I have changed this to something
Encoder: 1
Automatic Reconnection: Ticked
Reconnection Time Out: 30 seconds

ENCODER:

Encoder 1
Encoder Type: MP3 Encoder
Encoder Settings: 24kbps, 22,050kHz Mono

INPUT:
Winamp (recommended)

When I try to connect, it says connecting and then says not connected and it always does this.

Am I doing something wrong and have I missed something somewhere?

Is there any accounts / further software I need to get?

I am ona 24/7 cable modem connection. My IP is: 213.105.93.193

I am using Windows XP and I have turned off (disabled) the firewall.

Please help me with any info you have... I would really appreciate it and I will give you a big thanx ohn my website...
