any good plugin developers out there? wanna try this challenge?
if you have windows xp, it's the Audio Player powertoy. i personally think that powertoy was a great idea implemented poorly. just download it from somewhere - it has some nice features, like a song tile that pops up when a song i changed, etc. but it was only in beta version and was scrapped for the final release, i don't think it'll be too hard to find the beta version...
if you have no idea what it is, it's toolbar audio player. it sits in the right hand side of the toolbar (to the left of the systray) and has 4 simple buttons: play/pause, previous track, next track, and playlist editor. the playlist editor is quite simple - just a small box with add, remove, options, and sort along with list of songs and song lengths. when a new track is played (by clicking once on the song title in the playlist editor or by clicking next track) a small "tile" pops up in the bottom right hand side of the screen and tells you the song title, artist, and album as found in the id3 tag...i think this would be a great plugin for winamp |

you can do most of this with what plug-ins are already available
yalis name popup only shows the name of the song but you can configure how long it displays it and where(top-center,center-right,bottom-left,etc) and you can download winamp executables, put them on a new toolbar, give them any icons you want, etc as far as i know there were only executables for play, next track, previous track, and another one(stop or pause?) theyre not really plugins but theyre in the plugin section search for "executables" |
