just played around some in photoshop. dont know if it ever will become a real skin. i might make something else but i will try making a wa3 skin. just dunno if it will be this design or not

what do u say?

Unless of course you have anything better to do with your time...but I don't think there is anything better than Skinning.

you mean the shuf/rep/fade and eq/pl/ml buttons? i made them golden first but i liked them better silver

one more thing. about this semi-transparency stuff. i read somewhere that this used alot of cpu power the you have a vis or something. should i use this or not. or should i perhaps release two versions.

and does it work in win 98 or is it only in 2k and XP?

Alpha transparently only works in 2K and XP (as far as I know) and it uses a lot of cpu to place this in the Vis. If you think that the skin really needs this or that it would really make the skin better, then I would put it in, otherwise I would leave it out. It doesn't make sense to have a skin that would interfere with wa3's ability to play music, by using all of the cpu power ( I don't really know if it causes wa3 to skip, since I use ME and thus this stuff doesn't work for me).

My suggestion is to not use the alpha transparency. And don't make the vis reallt big because both eat up a ton of sytem resources. Plus most everyone doesn't have XP sooooooooo...Its not worth putting it in if no one can see it, you catch my drift.

A nice shade mode would be good...and I've never seen one with drawers before. If it can be done I think it would really help this skin accomplish its full

potential.

are there some scripts you could easily download and use cuz i dont know a thing about scripting

The demo skin in the faq has a nice drawer

if it's in the windhowshade mode, you only have to edit the layout tag to shade or something

the xml is not the problem, its the maki thats the real pain in the well known body part.
