The sound goes on & off

Hi,

I know this may sound a bit stupid but I'm asking it anyway. When I log into ShoutCast and it starts playing whats there I can hear music for 15 to 20 second intervals. It is working but I cannot hear the whole song for it goes on and off in the sound as it is buffering. I am not behind a firewall and use this only at my home. I have a 56k modem that connects at 45000 to 49000kbps upon just about everytime I long on line. Can someone please tell me what I need to do to cause this to stream at a steady pace? I am completely new to this. I have been using Morpheus for a long time. So many of my friends have convinced me to use Winamp becouse it is so much better all the way around. I like Winamp but I would love to listen to it on a steady stream if you know what I mean. Thank you for whatever help anybody may be able to offer me.

You do not have enough bandwidth, listen to streams of 32kbps or less and don't do anything else online at the time

sawg is completly right!
Try setting your stream to a lower speed as 56k modems don't provide too much badnwidth. I suggest you set it to 32kb/s
Thanx!
