intro song playback screwed for stream

howdy, trying to get an intro file to play before listeners hear my stream and its not working. i've ensured that the intro mp3 is encoded at the same bitrate as my stream files but when i connect to the server it takes awhile longer to load with the intro file, then it buffers about ever 5 seconds while its playing it...

when i remove the intro file and set everything back to the way it was my stream loads in just a couple seconds and streams fine at 128k...

is there something i'm missing here? i would really like this intro to play for each user before they listen to the music..

I also made sure the bitrate was attached in the file name as to make sure the intro file is the same as my stream broadcast

could someone help us PLEASE !

helloooooooooo... i don't mean to be a persistent nagging whiner, but does NO ONE out there in the community use intro files as a station id for their shoutcast stream?? i just need a bit of direction to find out why its not working correctly for me..

encoded at 128k 44hz which is same as all mp3s on my stream.. the file is only 800k and/or 400k depending upon which intro file i wish to have in place.

thank you, once again, for any and all insight into this problem.
