Can't Stream Radio

Please help (if you can) - I don't know what the deal is, but I can't stream ANY kind of online radio stations on my system using WinAmp.

*Everytime I bring up a radio playlist, the songs load-up fine, then when the 1st track begins to play; it will continuously remain in the "buffer" mode (playing broken snippetts of the song) -- the song will never fully play and remains in this "buffered" state...

This may be a pretty easy problem to solve, but I can't seem to figure out what it could be...
* I've got a PC w/ Win95
* Cable modem (w/ a firewall)

* Do I need to enable/disable some sort of audio/internet pref in WinAmp (or somewhere else on my PC)??

Any help/suggestions are much appreciated -- Thanx for your time,
