hey does anybody know of a way to set the position of a component window? (i mean on when the skin loads.)

yourLayout.resize(int x, int y, int w, int h);

Use that on the layout in onScriptLoaded(){}

There's a commented version of QuarkAmp's script with a resize trick that puts QuarkAmp in the upper right corner, at the end of the QuarkAmp thread.

thanks. i thought that somebody had said something about this earlier. i will take a look.

i wouldnt have guessed at that. the command resize doesnt see to readily appearent as the command to use. but i guess this is just one of the way that it can be used (from what i understand.)
