Eq question
How would you emulate the 2.x eq bars so that their are variant images displayed dependent on the position of slider? Just look at any 2.x skin and you will see what I’m talking about. I'm not a coder so be explicit as possible when talking about the coding aspects.

Take a look at the volume bar in Vica's port of Winamp1.55 to Winamp3, WinampOS. I think it does what you need, but you'll have to decide for yourself. If it is, and you need some help understanding it, let me know (here in the forums, for the benefit of others). If it isn't, you'll have to explain more, but I think it is.

I must not have written the first post very well. I'm talking about the eq bars. In the standard 2.x skin depending on the position of the slider the colorization will either increase or decrease respectively. At the top it will be red and at the bottom it will be green. That is what I am trying to figure out.

Look at the skin, that is *exactly* what the volume bar is doing. You just have to use the same concept, only vertically: An animated png of the different states, and a map to provide the change in state. See Lucas' Demoskin example for how to work with maps. There's a very small amount of coding, but mostly just cut -n- paste. I'd be willing to do the coding, if you want.

Just noticed this thread,
If you want a similar change in colour for the EQ like the default W2 skin then the best example would be Technicallum. It has animated eq sliders that should work in your case also. That is give that what you have in mind is similar to what the volume for Winamp OS 1.55 looks like. ![]() Website: Template vbulletin skins by exaltic.com Skins/Coding: D-Shock, Nebular, Triton |
