Questions about bandwidth
Ok I'm hosting a 32kbps server and broadcasting to myself. Also I'm broadcasting to a 128kbps server (not my own). Does that mean I'm using 32kbps divide by 8 to get kbps so that would be using 4kbps per person on my server.. then for broadcasting to my other server... at 128kbps would be divided by 8 to get 16kbps... is that right... 16 kbps for that and 4 kbps for any person on my server?
Next question... How do I tell how many ppl are on the server of 128kbps if it's not my server? |

You're pretty much right.. it's around 4KBps and 16KBps. To see how many listeners are on the 128k server, just go to http://SERVERIP:SERVERPORT

Edit the DNAS config and find this:
; IntroFile can specify a mp3 file that will be streamed to listeners right ; when they connect before they hear the live stream. ; Note that the intro file MUST be the same samplerate/channels as the ; live stream in order for this to work properly. Although bitrate CAN ; vary, you can use '%d' to specify the bitrate in the filename ; (i.e. C:\intro%d.mp3 would be C:\intro64.mp3 if you are casting at 64kbps). ; The default is no IntroFile ; IntroFile=c:\intro%d.mp3 UNcomment the line (remove the semicolon) and change the path the the location of your introfile. Make sure it is the same bitrare and frequency of your stream. |

So ummm... say it was called C:\eNUF's Music\my intro.mp3 streaming at 128kbps.. would I have to put it in "" because of the spaces? and what about the bit rate.... "C:\eNUF's Music\my intro128.mp3" ??

Quotes or DOS speak
C:\enufsm~1\myintr~1.mp3 (or somthing close to that). The bitrate doesn't need to be in the file name, but the Intro MP3 MUST have the sam ebitrate and frequwncy of the stream itself. |
