Are you sure oddcast works? I don't think it does line-in.

OK, I understand now. Will this do everything on the soundcard, or just line-in?

For Soundcard you *MAY* need to try:

1) In the lower right corner of your screen double click on the little speaker icon. This should bring up the Volume Control Applet. Or you can go to Start > Run > "sndvol32" (without quotes) > hit OK.

2) Select Properties from the Options Menu:

3) In that box select "Adjust Volume for" "Recording" and make sure all boxes are checked in "Show the following volume controls:" then hit OK.

4) Now you will be in Recording Control. There you will see several different volume sliders each one with a checkbox labeled "select" under it. Look for a "Stereo Mixer" or "What you hear" and select that box.

OK, because I really needed it to broadcast output from another media player, I guess wave audio. That should work for it? (Thanks for your help!)

This just doesn't work. We just tried it. We've tried Oddcast with Winamp's built-in "linein://" , and it looks like it should be working, but it says 0.00 kbps and 0 MB sent and we get ICY 401 Service Unavailable on the other end. The "liverec://" from in_lrec.dll doesn't work at all.

We can arrange live demonstrations for anybody in or near Seattle who wants to help work on this problem.

Use the Adv Rec button in Oddcast. This will make Oddcast broadcast whatever your Recording Mixer is set to.
