several avs'not showing up in my plugins

Some of the avs' I've downloaded have not shown up in winamp for some reason, and these generally do not have .dll's in the winamp directory. The following are some that haven't shown up, even though I've downloaded and installed them (what I think is) correctly.

EL-VIS8 PLASMA
EL-VIS9 DRUGDRIVE
Tonic v.04 My 4D Life in Sofia
Zen-X v.V -the E gap RMXs

But others such as, acidspunk, and the space avs work just fine. Anyone have any ideas as to what the problem could be??

umm... make sure they're directly off the AVS dir. If they're one below, they don't show up.

Aside from that, I dunno.

That's because they are AVS presets, not plug-ins. Fire up AVS (Nullsoft's Advanced Visualisation Studio) and run them through that.

This has to be the most asked newbie AVS question :P Will post FAQ to be made sticky soon.
