Splitting mpeg files

Hi all.

I have an mpeg file that is too big for me to save to a cd. How do I split this file so I can save it?

Anyway, here's a tool specific to Missy's needs,

In case the linking is funky, it's a freeware app named Mpeg Scissors, for joining and slicing mpeg files. I didn't see anything as focused as that on doom9.
