Heatwaves

Damn you, Rovastar - you beat me to it

This is a proper preset using the beat detection code found in <a href="http://64.12.38.241/showthread.php?postid=524824#post524824">this thread</a>.

It's a modification of my preset aenema, with a different colour scheme, and obviously the beat detection.

Currently, there are loads of if() statements in the code, so it's not very fast. I'm in the process of cleaning it up.

Mods ahoy!

Here's the same thing, but with most of the if statements removed. I managed to squeeze an extra 8 fps or so out of it on my machine.
I also cleaned up a couple artifacts I wasn't happy with.

This is really cool stuff Krash, just wait till I get some time and I'll be modding this one for sure. On my machine both run at the same fps (~33fps) and look pretty much identical...

hehe, yeah, I know they're really similar. The artifacts I was talking about is that the curvature of the swirls on either side wasn't the same. If you don't notice a difference though, feel free to use the one with the if statements in it. The code is easier to follow.

Nice preset Krash.

A quick mod just with some random colour changing code (for a updated old skool effect) and low alpha motion vectors.

Again without the dx and dy -1/2*texture size to stop the offset movement so add this yourself.

(I am saving all these without the modifier so when Ryan fixes this problem they will all work straight way - I have already done the entire collection so far and it does make a difference, some of Zylot's old ones look a lot better......)

Well, that's cause my voodoo needed a -.001, not the -.0005 that they need when your not using 3dfx. I've been putting the -1/2 in now.

These Voodoos with there chucky texture size of 512. Do all graphics cards have this stupid offset.

Your 3dfx voodoo card does and your new ATI one does too. The nVidia ones all do. Kyro II does.

Anyway I will update the relevant thread in the toubleshooting section.

If you look closely you can even notice the difference between -0.0005 and -1/2*1024 on some of your presets. Like the tunnel ones.
