Multiple Sound Card Sources
I am trying to encode and relay several FM radio sources through one computer. This computer is running Win2K Pro and has three (3) sound cards installed. Each sound card line input is connected to a different FM radio playing a different station.
The Shoutcast DSP seems to be limited to only one (1) soundcard line input, the 'Preferred Device'. Is there a way to work around this? Is this a Windows limitation? Will this be a feature of the next version? Currently, I must use 3 different computers to encode the radio stream. I would like to do it all with one box. |

Its not a Windows limitation. I used to have two sound cards on my machine and most programs allow you to choose which one u want to use, but Winamp doesn't for some stupid reason. I also had problems with Winamp freezing up at random while using line-in with multiple sound cards installed, even though it only used one of them.

same problem, multiple input sources don't work
I have an M-Audio Delta 1010 that i use for harddisk recording. I have to use it as the input because my regular soundcard has a busted line in. Is there a fix for the shoutcast encoder to allow for alternate sound sources??

Did any of you guys resolve this. I too am trying to run multiple soundcards, each with a different input but the SHOUTcast DSP doesn't allow you to select the other soundcards. Only Sound Card or WinAmp.
Any ideas? Thanks |
