Frozen and Burnt Hi! I'm new here. Just thought you'd like to see my first serious attempt at a skin.

Welcome to the forums, Thats a cool skin, i like the colours, but i would like to make a few comments... if you dont want em, skip the rest of this message.

- Buttons in Main, and PlayList dont match up in style
- The EQ mite need a bit of work for my likes...

Other than that... its great... i love your use of original shapes.

nice skin

only thing i dont really like about it is how the volume and balance and pos sliders are so square, they kinda dont fit the smootheness of the rest of the skin...

but thats just my opinion, and since im an idiot, my opinion doesnt count

Thanks for the input everybody, and I agree with you Ch33zels. I hate those sliders too. I fixed many of this skin's problems in it's companion skin here.

and IMHO I don't like those sliders in the mainwindow either, the PL and MB could use some more work.

OK...I've downloaded it...and now for the comments:

I like the idea alot...but I wouldn't mind seeing the following changes:[list=1][*]I think the cbuttons should be animated...perhaps the outline of the symbols could change to the red colour of the eq_pl and shufffle & repeat[*]The bottom of the playlist seems stuck on...perhaps you could mould it so it all looks like on piece[*]The buttons of the balance & volume could be slightly rounded[*]The Cluttlebar moves down one pixel when clicked...this may have been on purpose[*]In between the preamp and the first slider it could have markers to show -20, 0 & +20[*]The slider on the Playlist could be more rounded[*]The word preset on the eq could change to red as well[*]The minimise button on the eq dissapears when you click it and both buttons on the Playlist do the same, they also do it on the winshade modes of the eq and pl[*]On the main in Winshade, close & minimise move down a pixel[*]The posbar could be more rounded...have I mentioned that already?[*]The easter egg isn't molded into the main...looks like it's been stuck on[/list=1]

Now for the down side:
Most of this has alreday been said but I'll repeat some of it:
Eq need a little work
Cbuttons need a pressed state
I dont like the max/min button pressed state.

Looks good. But I don't like the burnt section as much as the frozen section. I think it lacks a bit of detail. And all of the button labels (cbuttons, on/auto, presets, shuf/rep, etc.) are too standard - especially the playlist buttons, which, apart from the colour, are the same as the base skin ones. But overall, this still looks pretty nice, but there's a lot of potential for improvement there.

Thanks for the posts. All of your comments were very helpfull. I'm not sure I'll get around to updating the skin right away, I've got too many ideas for other skins, but I'll keep all of the above in mind while constructing future skins.
