hello you guys!
those who have photoshop 6.0 - 7.0 answer this: i have a multi layered PSD file, now one of the layers is a button that i wanna seperate and make it a stand alone file! so: how the hell do i do it? |

Or quicker (maybe):
Right click on layer, select duplicate, and then from the "Document" section select from the drop-down menu the "new" option and give the file a name.

I'd also recommend using Francis' PSD2WAL converter. If you follow the format (an example is provided) it makes the process of conversion from image to working skin much less painful.
You can have it work on several seperate files, so your buttons and whatever don't all have to be in the same file as the background. http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....hlight=psd2wal Latest version: .04 -=Gonzotek=- But I'm feeling much better now. |

I thought this was just converting a layer in a psd file to another psd file. (?)

the two methods that were outlined before psd2wal, can make any type of file you want, it will create a new PS document, which then can be saved as what ever you want, PSD or PNG etc.
