Positions
I apologize if this has been asked before (and it probably has), but is there a template of the different sliders (Balance, volume, eq sliders) that also shows the position of the slider button also?
Did that just make any sense? "We are fortunate: we are alive; we are powerful; the welfare of our civilization and our species is in our hands. If we do not speak for Earth, who will? If we are not committed to our own survival, who will be?" -Carl Sagan |

Yeah, thanks Atmo. As Dimichan said, does anyone have balance?

I made a template, but it's at home. If you wait a couple of hours I can post it.
Edit... Or you can check the balance.bmp in GoldenRing (jellby.deviantart.com), there's something there that can be used as a template. |

Here it is, I hope you like it
But I'm not sure about the bars' size, they might be one pixel narrower... Test it.

Thank you all for your help! I (and others, it seems) really appreciate it!

I didn't ask because I thought it would be quicker to make it myself, it's very easy.

If anyone can find any of the skins I made please email them to Forevever@aol.com I can't remember all the names but specifically hunting for Lascivious, and DEVOUR (compilation with Jax) and any in the Impulse series which had 6 total. Auriferous, Gilt, Impulse, Nadir, and 2 others I can't remember but you dig. |

I often use anamation in the Volume/Balance and cut the buttons off.
The thing that bugs me is counting the number of frames and then working how far to move the anamation for each step, it always seems that I finish too early or too late.
If you think you can or think you can't...you're right. |

Even if you crop the buttons out, it is always good to know where they are supposed to be, just to know where the mouse should be clicked on... I have the positions as a layer and hide it before saving as bmp.

yep, using the template on a seperate layer is the easiest way to get the skin layout, without having to use different bitmaps.

If youre used to windows and its easy to use interfaces then Linux might seem a bit complicated. I havent used it much, Red Hat and mandrake give you GUI's that look similar to windows, but there seems to be a lot that has to be done in the console. Especially when trying to get new hardware working.
If you arent happy with WinME, I'd give it a shot, since youre on cable nova, you should be able to download a linux install from the net. From memory, linux has its own non destructive partition manager, meaning you'll be able to make a new partition out of an existing one. Probably best to keep an install of ME on your pc while your learning linux though. |

the thing is u can customize the OS to your own systems hardware config.[where as windows uses all these drivers in which u dont need and puts them on ur hdd.].

Every distribution includes its own set of drivers, utilities, source code... The essential linux is 1 CD, you should compare the 3-4CD linux with a hypothetical windows with all the source code, drivers, MSOffice, Photoshop, browsers, 2CDs with shareware programs...
