All new Macs come with Apple's free iTunes application, which is a very nice and feature rich MP3 player. In addition to playing and encoding MP3s, it will play Shoutcast and compatible streams and burn audio and MP3 cds. There are a number of 3rd party players available as well, but since iTunes is free and included, most Mac users don't bother.
