hmmmmmmmmm what do ppl think was going to make the black bg transparent but an thinking a textured bg would be better and this transparency bit is a pain lol
anyway not much done yet but what ya all think

Personally I dont like transparency so I'd say stick with a bg.Nice diffrent idea but not sure if people will like it.Technically sound though.

hmm have played with a bit of a texture kinda bg but an not too sure if i should go back to the black or another dark colour

use a dark BG, its way better hten a bright one.

yeah i was playing with a few dark b's when i made the light one and i thought the dark blue one looked about the best have made the bg's for most of my buttons and such and have done the num bmps and the posbar what ya think ??

suggestions for the cbuttons would be great am stuck for idea's except maybe like the numbers and posbar are done

You could try some kind of plate (metal or stone) for the cbuttons that is 'crushed' by the claws when pressed, but I don't know if it would be easy to do.

I like the look of it, but like dam I don't like transparencies, so I say try a dark, slightly textured background, maybe with shadows cast by the foreground.

I think if you darkened that lighter background, it maight look nifty

and it all loks kewl except that titlebar looks a bit OOP to me

only other possibility that comes to mind for the cbuttons is a "hole" appearing at the claw end when they're pressed... really like this skin you've got going though, looking forward to see what it turns out like!

i was kinda thinking something like this today maybe make it a raised button section with the claw going over the centre of it and make it cracked to the s***house looking when its in the pressed state will have to play a bit and see how it looks

ok have changed about a few bits on it and done the cbuttons kinda i'll probably change em a bit yet and sorry the shuff/rep button doesn't line up i changed my mind and limited time now to fix that but will do that tommorow and i have an idea for the EQbg and maybe the sliders like the volbar on here(only a working idea as yet).

am not overly happy with the text either i wanted it like the numbers but is hard when its only 6 pixels tall

but anyway heres a ss and i attacked the cbuttons onto the bottom so that you could see then in both states

if requested tommorow i'll post another ss wirth all the cbuttons in there pressed states to give more of an idea

oh and just a question does putting the SS in gif format make it look worse then as a jpeg ??

woohoo the forum is up and running again hehe

anyhoo heres an update i started on the EQ i still have to figure out what i'm going to do with the sliders and the such and texturise iut but i still got no idea's for the app buttons and title bars and that metal don't look right maybe broken off bits of the main bit am not to sure yet
