UGH!
I can't read it......

I know a lady who did this for some kids. Two of the boys, who were best friends, went out back and shot skeet. Somehow the one boy accidently discharged the shotgun into his buddy's face, killing him instantly. He went into shock right away, walked into the house where no one else knew what happened and spent another shell on himself, right in front of everyone

Just another case of irresponsible parenting. We had a case near where I live last year where a father bought 4 kegs of beer for his son's 16th birthday party. Then somebody brought in some weed, things got rowdy, and 12 people ended up arrested.

That's a nice offer Bilbo, but I'm very much a girl type of guy. Sorry man, but you just don't do it for me.

Beer sounds good though....

Depending on how many people you've got, 4 kegs might not be all that much. The only problem is that in the US, people generally drink for the sole purpose of getting drunk. Marijuana's not really the evil it's made out to be, and 16 year olds are as capable of handling alcohol as 21 year olds.

I blame society for all that crap in America.

Believe it or not, some people like to go out with friends, have a few drinks, and have a full recollection of the evening in the morning.

I second that! It saves the hassles of waking up next to some chick and introducing yourselves all over again

::drinking is bad drugs are bad::

most alcohol, even sissy alcohol (vino/champiagne[sp]), tastes like carbonated pee water, imho. if getting drunk is that unpleasent getting there and extremely unpleasent after; while you usually dont even recall your drunk state, drinking doesnt seem to suite its purpose properly.

my friend of many years threw a graduation party in the same spirits. his mother type person set up a door charge to cover either the expence of the "misprovided subtance" or as a small safety for any legal sort of expense that might come from this gathering. she even had kids set up to take the fall for the "spiking" of the fruit slushes and another to catch the rap of chargeing for admission without permission. his grandmother and little sister were there for love of god. i only stayed for a short time to respect his invitation and friendship of so long, as it was likely that was the last time ill see any of those people. therefore im not quite sure how out of control it got.

she was president of the pta so she was quite used to being organized

Here it goes: another old man rant (especially if Chev can't provide a good role model for y'all).

When I was a teenager 14 year old girls looked like 14 year old girls, flat-chested and unglamorous. These days it seems like every other 14 year old has at least a c-cup already (d-cup if they're pregnant). I blame the BGH in the beef and milk they drink. And where the hell did a 14 year old learn how to give a lapdance anyway?!? Parents probably bought her the "Showgirls" DVD for her thirteenth birthday.

On the topic at hand...other than the fact that this party was thrown by the mom, it sounds like most high school parties. And even when I was in high school there were always a few parents who approved of kids partying.
