Ok so I gave in and made a screenshot, I just really need somefeedback on the looks of it.

also on it are two pics of winamp, I did a copy paste one shows the play state and another a stop state, There is alos included a pic of Trillian to compare it, it is the skin I am porting from.

One small bug I am having is on the stop state the time being displayed will everynow and then flash the time and the song it stopped, if you hit stop and play about five times it will stay on and then repeat the pattern. If there are any ideas on how to fix this plz let me know.

And the graphics are a little blurry try downloading it and opening it and veiw it at 100% zoom, sorry Hi-res monitor

slow down your typing. in the first link you just misspelled/mistyped pages as pgaes thats all. looks quite a bit like the skin its based on. not my type of skin but not bad, not bad at all.

yeah, the reason I am doing to port is because the author of the trillian skin is making a skin to use with StyleXP (which i own, so). So hopefully here soon i will have a complete theme across my desktop, and many don't like the colors or what not of this skin and that is cool, I am making it for me first and foremost and then just passing it out for others who want a more complete theme with windows

here in about a week i will post a beta skin of it

I like the skin, but... this is already the second skin based on that Trillian skin (which I use too. :P) But anyways, that's okay, I kinda like yours better. You should definately implent that you can resize the main window, I mean, in the play state, there is just a whole bunch of space left...

Make a playlist button and the other standard buttons...
Maybe make, when you just open the skin and you get the time.. make the time a little bit bigger (maybe centered (horizontally and vertically (2x sp?)) so that the time is like.. spread out evenly over the window.

Okay... well, if you need more ideas... let me know.

Oh yeah.. Alpha blend the sides!!!

Thanks for the idea on resizing it, i didn't think about that, but the extra space is on there for a reson right now (because i haven't taken it off, i wanted to make sure i had plenty of space to work with).

I am working on creating the crossfade, repeat, and shuffle buttons right now, though i didn't think about the playlist and stuff.

I am going to have to play with the time size, i have centered it horiz with within the songname line, i will work on mkaing it bigger (it just hit me on how to do it, hehe).

I am going to have to get help on resizing it though, or read a lot more, same thing for the alpha blend, don't how the hell to do that (i have atleast have a clue with the resize, lol)

I am also working on a winshade mode, if you use the trillian skin, you know that one is include in the skin, and one will be included with mine

Please keep the comments comming, I am running out of things to read about

This IS the second skin based on the Aikon theme. The first one was mine, which I stopped working on when the 'real' Aikon guy said he was going to make one for winamp. That plus, not too long ago, there was a lot of talk about getting permission if you were going to make a skin from someone elses design... was that a passing fad?

Yes, this is the second one, I tried getting yours to download and edit but couldn't get it. So in my boredom with studing for finals I decided to make one for me, and while at it give it to the public.

Dogwings, if you have yours still, I would love to have it to use, mainly the pics but also the code. Right now my main window is just about done, I need to add a few more buttons for playlist, eq and one more to make it symmetric but don't know what yet
-any ideas are appreciated

And about the orginal author making one for winamp, I went to his website and asked for permission but haven't heard yea or nea, so. I have just been trucking along, coding instead of studing. By then end of this week, then main window and winshade will be done (hopefully, and the week ends on sunday right

)

Anyways whatever it is worth, this is what I am doing, becuase I like it, I am learing something new, and most improtant having fun. So if you don't like me doing this, then you know where you can shove this skin

New screenshot will be up tomorrow of some new buttons. Until then goodbye

Actually, if I remember correctly, I think the original creater of the Trillian skin said that he was thinking about making a skin, but when he saw yours (DogWings), he thought that yours looked good enough, so he'd let you make the skin...

BmmrMPower, I think you'll get permission, so do continue on the skin!

Can't wait till the next shot... you'll get some comments from me!
