enhanced default skin

ok, heres the first release of my enhanced default winamp3 skin. I will not work on this version any more as i have already adapted it to the new wa3 skin in the internal betas (472 & 473). but all comments welcome. and tips for more enhancments.


features:
- loud button, one click turns volume to 20%, another click returns the volume to its original state.
- dockable, place winamp on the side of the screen so it slides into view when the mouse passes over the dock bar.

known bugs:
-guru error on beta3 on load.*
-guru error when open thinger via the wa logo*
*have no major side effects

updated bugs list:
- "script not found" on beta3 load*
- guru error when open thinger via the wa logo*
- sometime i get an error when closing the skin or when loading the skin when i open winamp i get "the skin seems to be damaged, reverting to default" or something like that.

i havnt put in and "system.onscriptunloading" in the maki as i dont know when i need them. can someone help me out here?

any time you created a new object... like in systemOnScriptLoading for a timer you need to say mytimer = new timer;

everytime you use something like blah = new blah; delete it

Feedback??? Like What kind?

Its great and just as good as the "Default - Sliding". The Loud button and the Dock button are nicely placed. Don't use the Loud button a lot, the Dock button is in use and is quiet useful.

Can't think of any additons that cud be made nor of any flaw!

Its just plain useful!

im thinking of adding a new window called 'winamp enhancements' that holds a whole lot of winamp enhancements. all i need is enhancements to fill it with.

i found another bug, if you press a play or pause (etc) button the tooltips dont work.

ill work on that and post another minor update soon.

im also trying to implement the clock script but it doesnt work on builds 470 and above. i read how to fix it somewhere but cant find it.

ok another update:

- when loud button is activate, nothing can change the text in the songticker. and volume cannot be changed.
- i havnt had that load or shutdown crash, so i think thats fixed.
- other minor improvements

Ok, now I see the point behind a "loud" button But then, wonder if there could be a shortcut key assigned to it - Just like Z X C ..., maybe a "L" for Loud button! That way I dont have to jump for the mouse and manuvoere (spelling??? ) it to the button to reduce volume!

i dont think makin a dock for the winshade is a good idea, the dock bar is like as big as the winshade.

ok new update, loud button fades back in now with a cool little songticker thing at the same time. i tried making a shortcut key and i had this:
System.onKeyDown(string f)

but no matter what key is pressed (assuming its not allready a shortcut key) it would activate the loud button.

and is there a way to do like:

System.onKeyDown(string a), Loud.OnLeftClick()
{
}

Seems like L, Ctrl+L and Shift+L are reserved by the file options! Maybe something else, but can't think of anything related!

Very nice mc^^^^

The loud button is a very nice improvement on the old fashion mute button. I wish I could give you some input on the button but I have no experience with using "string"

As for my feeling towards build 473, I would not dare to comment....

- changed to version 2.0 cause its about time.
- no more (known) bugs with build 470

- remembers what state the dockbar was on close, now if you close it with the dockbar off, itl load with it off!!!

- when its sliding the text "sliding" will not change as buttons slide under the mouse

onKeyDown(String key) puts whatever key was pressed into the string variable "key".

So if this is your function:

and the user presses "d", "d" would go into someTextElement.

You can then check if the key you wanted to pressed has been like so:

You can also trigger events, like so:

small bug. if the volume is at 100% and you hit loud it goes to 20%,
then if you hit it again it only goes back 99%

ah i think i know what that is, see volume is stored as a boolean from 0 to 255, not 0 to 100, so im not sure excactly how to fix this, anyone?

ah, yeah whatever. i was h*** at the time, it accually goes back to 100% but just doesnt show it, ill fix that anyhowz. the shortcut keys are in, they are: Q for loud button, W to slide, and E to turn dock bar on/off.

i have an idea, but its gonna take quite alot of coding.

directly after the skin slides out from the side the playlist shall slide out from under the skin, so you can see what songs are up next, reverse on other slide.

my main focus right now is on Elsedei, which will be finished in around a month. then i will try remake the skin and do that. and i think i have to finish screenfull some time
