Traffic?

If i set up a shoutcast Server - how many traffic it will take? (GB/month)

I have a server with shell (root) access and 50GB free...

It will depend on the bitrate you broadcast at and the number of listeners you have. Use: http://www.casterclub.com/bw_calc.ph...onthly%20Usage to get some figures for various bitrates/listeners.

hmm, so each listener makes extra traffic? Is there no way to really stream the contents?

Anyway, in worst case i could handle min. 200 listeners ;-)

SHOUTcast is unicast, meaning that each listener gets a separate stream sent to them, therefore the bandwidth is dependant on the number of listeners. Not sure what you mean by "Is there no way to really stream the contents?".
Also if you get 50 GB/mo then you can only handle 2 users at 56kbps assuming the source stream does not count towards your bandwidth.
