Play every media type in Winamp 2.8!

Just download tara, divx extension pro, and vidamp in winamp plugins list to play every media type quicktime (mov), realplayer (RAM), and divx, avi, divx, mpeg, asf, etc.

Currenlty, I'm looking for a plugin that let's me play dvd on it. Anyone know of any?

While it does show something about the astoundingly flexible plugin platform that Winamp uses, playing every format under the sun with Winamp isn't necessarily the best route. There are programs which do one thing specifically, and do it well.

or you could wait for wa3 to come out... suposededly it includes native video support, and it wont be too long before there a divx and other codec plugins for it...

The current beta of Winamp plays video files (whatever codecs are installed on your system) superbly. Still, some formats are best left to specialized programs, just like audio files are best left to Winamp. More time seems to be spent on developing and perfecting audio input/output then any other feature (All of peter's official updates are primarily audio based), so you can expect that that will be Winamp's best strength.
