Remote desktop connection
Does somebody know how to use WinAmp due a remote desktop connection between a Win 2000 workstation and a Windows .Net Enterprise Server.
When I play music with WinAmp i don't hear the sound on the computer i am working on but on the .Net Server. It does work with Win MP. I'm getting really sick of Windows Media Player. |

Without more info, I'll just throw in my gut instict reaction. It sounds like the problem is related to CD Audio and not specifically to Winamp. If you're trying to CD's on the machine you're connecting from and they're not playing, it might be because the audio from the CD is being redirected directly to the soundcard via the CD audio cable in the machine. I've seen WMP ignore this feature and play CD audio over the PCI bus, which might explain why WMP works but Winamp doesn't. Since Remote Desktop connections redirect audio by default, this is my best guess. Try playing an MP3 file in Winamp, if it plays on the client machine, but CD's don't, you have your answer.
