How much bandwidth

Hi all, i have tries to figure out how much bandwidth i would use for the following

1 x 24kbps stream to 100 people constantly how much bandwidth a month are we looking at?

Somewhere around 700 Gigs for a 24/7 * 100 people

Scroll down a bit and look for the section titled...
DJ and Shoutcast DSP Issues -> Bandwidth

There are some calculator links there that will help you determine your limits and/or how much bandwidth is necessary for supporting your listener count at your streaming bitrate.

easy formula

just take the bitrate of the station and multiply it by the amount of listeners you want

say 56kbps

and 32 listeners

do the multiplication with a nifty calc tool in windows
and then multiply the answer by 1.1 for overhead
and bam you would need 1,478 kbps or basically a T1
