Sorry, BH, but i decided to let things lie for now. Make the same offer in about a month, and sure, I'll give you a few dozen to move. And cibercat, whether you're on my side or not, you're still a post pumper.

Cibercat: Triple posting like that (intentionally) isnt necessary. If you forget to add something to a post you can always use the edit button. It works for up to 3 hours from the time you make the post.

However I think we can forgive cibercat this time seeing as he/she is new here.

You seem to forget that as of today, July 4, 2002, I have been signed on to these forums for exactly one month. But I'm not really new here, am I?

Why? He's probably right. Most of my anime skins (yes I have others) are skinner projects, and I wouldn't have them if they weren't anime, cause, frankly, skinner projects make for bad skins and lazy people.

when your dealing with picture skins you're sure to have a lot of skinner skins, but there are a lot of decent anime skins out there, so if you were looking for good anime skins in general you could stay clear of skinner skins and still have a lot of great skins, on the other hand if you're looking for skins to specific series, you might have to do with the occasional skinner skin.

me I avoid skinner skins like the plague, if you really need a skin of something but can only find skinner skins, then get of your lazy but and make one yourself

I searched my favorite anime series, and there are only three, and they are all skinner.exe, so I don't really care, because I don't have any pics yet, but when I get them, I'll use them.

Mmmm... Anime.

1. Which SE Michigan city are you in?

2. "Good" is in the eyes of the beholder... I adore almost anything that Miyazaki has touched (Panda Go Panda is a bit too juvenile for my tastes, but hey...). I despised "Evangelion," loved "Cowboy Bebop" when I saw it way back in 2000 -- before Cartoon network got their hands on it --(Yoko Kanno is a musical goddess), was indifferent to "Serial Experiments: Lain," and am currently watching "Abenobashi Mahou Shotengai" (liking it), "King of Bandits Jing" (liking it), and "Juuni Kokuki" (Really liking it). It's all dependent on the viewer and his/her expectations/attitude/mood/etc...

3. with that said, perhaps "Dexter's Lab" and such got put in there because the author felt they were anime-like?

1. I'm from Plymouth.
2. I am currently watching Love Hina (love it), I My Me Strawberry Eggs!(love it), and about 10 other series.
3. Dexter's Lab is not anime-like at all, it is just another American cartoon.

1. Aha; no wonder that you're only one of three anime fans. get out to Ann Arbor for their shops and the college anime club movie nights. I'm in Ferndale, myself.

2. Never got into Love Hina... I guess the comedy series never really pushed my buttons. I watched the Tenchi OAVs, but wasn't too impressed. Nadesico didn't do much for me, either. Ah well.

3. As I said, it's all in the eyes of the beholder. I'd not have classified "Dexter's Lab" as anime, but perhaps animation instead. perhaps the person who submitted the skin felt that "anime" was more of an over-arching general "animation" category... i dunno. I do know that complaining about it won't do much, and usually only serves to wind ya up.

1. I didn't say anime fans], I said anime experts. There is a difference. I've been trying to get out of the Schoolcraft College screenings for a while now, but I stay there because of my friends, and they show Strawberry Eggs.

2. Love Hina's pretty good, but our screenings are going to stop showing it, because nobody seems to like comedy other than the Excel Saga.

3. The eyes of the beholder? I would classify Dexter's Lab as a child's cartoon, not even animation. I freak out because I can.

aren't child's cartoons animated and therefore animation? anywho since there's no catagory for crappy american cartoons, the closest thing that comes to mind would be the anime catagory.

hell I placed my rose tattoo skin based on an american comic book in the anime catagory cause all the other catagories make even less sence

I didn't put in nature cause it's not a Nature skin, I know there's a whitesnake skin in there and a rubber duk skin, but if I put it in nature the "nature experts" might start complaining that there's a comic skin in the nature section.

some skins are just not covered by the catagories available, so skinners put them in whatever's closest. Not a perfect solution, but it's what we have to do with

so true

also they had other writers and artists do the later books, which kinda spoilt it. if it ain't Hewlett and Martin's Tank Girl it just ain't Tank Girl. their early strips were great, very funny and anarchic.

Put it another way, be thankful I only do it once in a while in various threads, I could do it in every single post I make by sticking links in my sig....
