hi...i have a pretty weird hardware config and i'm getting a weird error...here's the situation:
i have an os/x box running the shoutcast server. there are two instances of the server in two different directories, one configured with a portbase of 8000 and another configured with a portbase of 8002. this is so that i can broadcast a station and a friend can also remotely broadcast through my server. i realize now i could have just had two different config files but it's all set up...soo...
i broadcast from macamp on a laptop on the network running OS/9. instead of walking accross the room to start up the servers on the os/X box, i started telnetting to it with SSH. this was also to keep the process completely hidden so that my girlfriend wasn't annoyed on her fancy os/x machine by two separate terminal windows.
the problem is, whenever i start the servers remotely with SSH, i get a "BUS ERROR" that quits to the prompt when a song ends. if you switch a song, or the song just naturally ends, goes to the next on a playlist, etc...the server quits. this does NOT happen if i start the terminal window physically from the OS/X box.
any ideas? i did some troubleshooting...it happens even if i have only one server going...it's pretty weird. thanks!
