Thanks for the translation - I didn't know Alta Vista did that. Maybe I will run it through Spanish to English and see what comes up.

too bad you can't reply to this guy in portuguese... well, you could always just reply in english and give him the same hard time he gave you trying to figure out the portuguese!

Yeah, I've been thinking about that. Or replying in English, and then running that through the Alta Vista translator, and giving him both. I'm afraid of causing some international incident, like when Eddie Haskel gave Beaver a Spanish phrase to say to his new friend, and it translated to "you have the face of a pig".

from the babelfish translation i saw of the portuguese, i wouldn't recommend that. just send him an english message, and let him figure it out... that's what he did to you, right?

menudo is a mexican band. portugal is in europe. despite the well-known lingual similarities with spanish, it's closer in language and culture to italy than anything else. the reason i'm bringing this up is i'm tired of getting confused for hispanic.
