Problems connecting behind proxy to IP

This is a copy of my event log:

<07/23/02@15:33:12> [main] client main thread starting
<07/23/02@15:33:12> [source] listening for connection on port 1057
<07/23/02@15:33:31> [source] invalid password from GET / HTTP/1.0 Password 12.40.174.2

I have a shoutcast server setup at home (no proxy/firewall/nat etc) on my sdsl connetion on port 1056. Now - at work I am behind a proxy/firewall and i'm on some lan IP (10.254.) but certain ports are open like 443, 80 etc (I don't have a full list). Winamp is set to use the proxy we have (Proxy:80) and I can go to other sites (ie http://www.digitallyimported.com) and listen to music there, provided I click the "For firewall users only" link but when I try to connect to myself on ports 1056/1057 I get that error. Now from what I understand the +1 port is the service port or something and you're not supposed to use that (shrugg) fine no big deal.

I went ahead and made the listen port on the server 79 and 80 (80 & 81) and tried to connect on those ports but only on the 80/81 configuration did it give me a different error:
<07/23/02@16:01:42> [source] listening for connection on port 81
<07/23/02@16:01:52> [dest: 12.40.174.2] server unavailable, disconnecting

What is the problem? Is it because I am behind a proxy and firewall at work? Or.....

The first error is because you were trying to connect to the source port. The second error you connected to the correct port however the server had no audio to send (also the case in the first error you posted) so it disconnected you. You need to provide a source for the server. This is usually done with Winamp and the SHOUTcast DSP. See: http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....threadid=70404 for links on how to setup a live audio stream.
