Best Myst Game

I was just listening to some Pink Floyd and it really reminded me of the eerie music from Riven. Anyone remember those games? It was like the first CD-ROM game ever and has sold almost 9 million copies.

i can't fairly vote, i only played myst and riven, i liked myst better of the two

Those are really the only two I've played, put I got the demo for realMYST. It was a good concept, but it just seemed overdone. I liked Riven better than Myst becuase it had better graphics, better puzzles, better music, almost everything was better. Except for the 5 discs, but that was fixed with the DVD.

I heard from many reviews that Myst III wasn't that great. It wasn't developed by Cyan and that's probably why. And also the prices fell from $49.95 to $19.99 pretty quick. A hit game like The Sims is still expensive.

If you get the first few puzzles the storyline gets really intresting. In Riven if you mess up you get to get shot, burned, really hurt this guys feelings because you killed his wife, trapped in a book, or stay trapped in a prison. And the graphics in Myst are really amazing especially since it was made almost 10 years ago.

First off, The Sims sold something like 6 million and is the top
selling game.
Second the fact the you used "Best" and "Myst" next to each other is
just plain wrong.
Third the fact that you used "Myst" and "Game" next to each other is
just plain wrong too. Myst is hardly a program, let alone a "Game" as
you call it. Hell MS Word has more animation than Myst
Forth and finally where the hell is my "Pyst" option!!!!!

Myst is coffee table book game, everyone claims to have it and played it but no one has actually.

Sorry man.

I didn't know you were so sensitive. The Sims was the top selling game of the year. MS Word does not have more animation than the original Myst, but a game like that 10 years ago?? Pretty amazing. Just like Pong and Pacman and those games. They are old but people still like them. And I've played Myst.
