more probs

Hi ive been trying to set up my broadcast so i can use a mic for voice overs ect and have read all the info however I find that if I select soundcard input which puts up mixer mic ect.
If im listening to my station the sound goes off and will only come back on if I reselect winamp input is this right ?
Nb I listen with soundbar on winamp off and use real player one to listen with.
I have the mixer in recoder checked.
More info ive noted when in soundcard input if I have the sound bar to nill I dont see the input levels moving.
They only move if I move the sound bar on in winamp.
If I broadcast in the sound card mode I have to have the sound bar on so I can see the levels moving, I can here previous tracks playing on my real player its as though the tracks played are looping and replaying at the same time.
The winamp is playing current track while the real player is trying to play previous tracks;
Its only like this in soundcard input If I go back to winamp input then both play the same track with delay in time on the real player.
How can i use the soundcard mode for voice overs ect without getting this problem?

When using Soundcard Input the SHOUTcast DSP takes whatever is selected in your recording mixers and broadcasts that. To do voiceovers you must have the option selected in the Recording Mixer where all sounds can be heard and you must be able to hear yourself when you speak into the microphone. So in order to broadcast it you must be able to hear it. So it makes sense that if you turn the volume of Winamp down you won't be able to hear it. Also listening to your stream while using Soundcard Input is a bad idea. Since we already stated what you hear is what is broadcast that means if you are listening to you broadcast that is broadcast as well. Since there is a delay between what you are currently sending out and what you are hearing it is to be expected to have an audio loop when doing this.
