problems with starting out
i'm new to shoutcast and i started up my own server last night. everything went fine. i tuned in to my broadcast from my sister's computer and my dad's computer on our home network and the stream played without a hitch. however when my friends tried to connect, they couldnt. they have the latest winamp with shoutcast support, and i had several friends try, so it must not be them. any ideas what the problem may be?
my address is http://192.168.1.103:8000 |

Lan ips only work for lan connected computers.
You need to give your outside ip to friends outside your lan. http://whatismyip.com |

Your LAN IP is only valid on your LAN. Give your friends the outside IP but be sure that your PortBase (by default 8000) is forwarded to the proper machine otherwise your friends will not be able to connect. Leave SrcIP and DestIP set to ANY.
