mindphuck of the week

i figure, hey, it's time to start a thread with some continuity.

therefore, this is the mindphuck of the week: a collection of items (Movies, books, etc) that will blow your phucking mind.

first up: La Cité des enfants perdus | The City of Lost Children .

Tagline: Where happily ever after is just a dream. (more)

Plot Outline: A scientist in a surrealist society kidnaps children to steal their dreams, hoping that they slow his aging process.

A few of my friends and I rented this movie a month or so ago, and it blew our minds. wonderfully bizzare really does sum it up. and i think watching it in English subtitles (because it's a french movie) adds some kind of effect, because the frenchies have a way with language

i shall try to add to this every week, but go ahead and post your thoughts about the movie (if you've seen it).

snooch to the noonch.

Voltaire's Candide. One of his stronger works. If you haven't given yourself a hernia from laughing so hard by the end of the book, check your pulse.
