Moving is hell

I moved over the past weekend and God, do I feel my age. Plus I'm stuck using AOHell for awhile until I get DSL. This hick town doesn't even have a local access number for AOL, so my time on the Internet will be limited because I can't afford the long distance charges. I'll be around every once in a while until I'm back in "Broadband Heaven".

Later folks!!

(And thanks for remembering my birthday. ) j/k

AOL?! I'm sorry.
Hope you get your DSL soon.

Yeah, that's got to be a pain. After a few months with Cable, I could never go back to 56k. I would go insane.

No, really, it is my world... I've moved(*counts on fingers*)... once every two years, except for one 6 year stretch. That doesn't include minor changes in location, such as moving a couple houses down the street, and stuff like that. So I know your pain

You'll get over it though

I feel your pain. Me and my family have been (and still are) moving since May. My mom has about a ton of antiques that she has to move, and my grandmother has a lifetime`s worth of crap she`s never touched, but doesn`t want to get rid of (for some odd reason.) Anyways, the past 2 days I`ve spent most of the time either vacuuming, sweeping, lifting, scrubbing, or packing; so you can guess that I am incredibly tired. Tommorrow at 9:00 a.m. our real estate agent is going to come and inspect both our house and my grandmother`s, and we`re probably not going to get shite for them, so we will probably end up getting our new house taken away from us because we won`t have enough to pay off the mortage. So, poo.

I agree! Moving is a big pain, especially when you are a pack rat like me and keep everything. I moved from my non-air conditioned apartment in TO at the end of June and wouldn't you know a huge heat wave hit just as I had to pack and move. I'm moving again, in September, but it should be better, since I'll only be able to take four pieces of luggage with me to England.

I've moved twice, and we've had professional movers each time. All we had to do was pack/unpack our own stuff. Except for the Krakow China and the Polish Crystal, those we let the insured professionals pack.

I've moved more times than I can count.
Sometimes because I wanted to.
Sometimes because I had to.
I've lived in a big fine house with everything.
I've lived in the streets with nothing.
And I'm still not done.
(No more street living though...don't wanna go there again)

Randman...you'll be fine, I'm sure.
You're a survivor.
If there's anything I can do to help, let me know.
And Happy Birthday my old friend...

After I left for uni, my parents moved from our large five-bedroom home with two kitchens, two bathrooms, two living rooms and a built-in garage (they claimed it was too big now; i.e. the mortgage payments were too steep...) to a three-bedroom house of 1/3 the size, one kitchen, and no garage. And then they wondered why there was so much crap everywhere. It took weeks for them to clear the hill of boxes, not to mention the hassle of putting in a whole new kitchen and rebuilding the driveway. Good thing I'm moving back out to my studenty house in September, then
