Unsigned bands and Winamp

Hello,
My name is Rene Rosa aka Evil Adam, singer and founder of the jersey metal band Evil Adam. I've been using mp3s to get our music to the masses since 1996/1997 when winamp was still a little baby, and ever since then I've been wondering one thing.
Where would a band like mine turn to to get some sort of notice off of the winamp page. They feature tons of signed artists but the mp3 really benefits the unsgined independent artist like myself to getting our songs across. We have close to 100 thousand downloads off of mp3.com alone but would like to know if winamp has any direct support towards unsigned acts.
Any one got any clues?
Ps. you can find the music at http://www.eviladam.com and http://www.mp3.com/eviladam

this goes to show the evil corporateness of AOL promoting mp3s from signed bands then claiming it damages them but not supporting the smaller bands who do not get too damaged from mp3s.

this is how the British Empirre is run, not on tea these days but on signed bands.

Evil Adam i wish you all the luck i may download something later as long as you do not work for the govt or shadow govt

it does seem a bit contrary that people will distribute signed bands even though it supposedly hurts the band

BUT

will not distribute unsigned bands even though it wouldn't hurt the band.

(then you realize that the signed bands are getting paid for the promotion so it really doesn't hurt them).

it works out for everyone (oh, except the unsigned bands).

GET SIGNED!

yeah, easy for you to say.
Been trying for a little while now, but managment is hard to get and you bassically cant get signed without good management. Sure we could take any shmuck that comes up to us and says they want to be our manager, but that wont do us anygood. we need more promotion and help from some magical outside source...
getting signed takes time and hard work. we've done the hard work and have spent some good time. we're just waiting for it to happen i guess.
in the meantime i still need to promote us hardcore. I was hoping one of the winamp.com guys might actually respond to this and let me know what they think... one can only hope i guess.
