Running gag... many people have asked, few were satisfied with the answer. Just know that it is, don't try to understand why.

"Thank your in" is a forum institution wholly unrelated to AYB.

Actually, it's a secret code,
which can only be deciphered with a special decoder ring,
which only certain few people in history,
have found inside a box of CrackerJacks.
This deciphering can only be accomplished by these individuals,
late at night after consuming large quantities of beer and chips.

I think I'll give you what I guess is the serious answer. It was originally a typo. They never got around to fixing it. Then it slowly became a gag aronud here, and they won't ever change it.

It is the final legacy of Watadoo - the ultimate admin. He was a god.

He is still around, but rarely.
