Antec SX1040 Case Colors

Hey I need everyone's opinion over which color is best for my new case, I can't decide. Check out the pic below and vote for which you think is the best. Thanks.

Uhhhh, it depends. I'm hoping to get the green one, mostly because I want green lights. I assume you ARE getting the window?

Not yellow.

Perhaps blue, black, green, or grey.

What color is the room you're gonna have it in?

<edit>I do have a related question though- is there any way to get disk drives (the bezel part) the same color? Or do you just have to buy white or black ones and have it look like crap? I guess that's what the colored door is for?</edit>

Those cases. For some reason, they are so popular. They don't even look good. Btw, I don't think it's antec that makes them. I think it's Chiftec or Chenming that originally make them. Really, to me, they don't even look good. Personally if you are looking for a case, I would look at the Ahanix Platinum XP available at newegg.com. But if you have to have a case like that, I think the silver one looks better.

i have it in black, it's the best case i have ever had. didn't get no option for no window though

and it was black/white/silver colourwise. I might buy a window modkit and a couple of cold cathode lights (i want one below the case too, shining out down onto the floor, like the black cars in the fast and the furious, but in blue), but knowing me, i'll fubar it all up and end up needing a new case...i might go for silver, just for a change.

the silver would work for me. it'd go with my silver keyboard, silver and blue mouse and silverish monitor. my speakers would go with it too, just noticed that.

the other colors wouldn't clash.

MetallichicA: about your question, sometimes you can order custom faceplates from the manufacturer, or you can paint them yourself. If you paint it yourself it would most likely be too hard to match the color in which case you would paint it an 'accent' color instead.

I like this case because it's pretty roomy sounding, but not huge, there's drive rails, easy HDD access, cable routing, plenty 'o fan mounts and you can lock it up from prying hands....

ever hear about the Black Mac.....

It had an EMF case so that noting could see into it. it was owned by the govt and was the only 1 to exist, theers no documentation or anything about it. spooky

i'm getting one of those.

i just love the locking front and sides. makes it extra smooth. not to mention that mine has a big side window, takes up almost the whole left side

not to mention the music responsive lighting, but that's a different thread altogether

Cheiftec is the company that makes these cases. I seen one somewhere that was the color Dragon Blue, and it looked great. If I couldn't find that color anywhere, I would go with blue or black.

Well, I've decided to go blue.

Chenming (Asian co.) makes the cases and the American reseller is Chieftec who licenses the cases to Antec, Enermax, and Alienware.

I've also decided to buy from another location that doesn't include a window. I looked at the pictures and from the feedback I've gotten I decided the window was too small. The new deal gives me the same blue case without a window but with two more fans: another in the back and one installed in the sidepanel. It also brings my price down to 37/47 dollars depending on how much I can resell the 400w power supply for.
