Intro mp3 file
Is there a known problem with the DNAS only playing the intro. mp3 - then NOT streaming the winamp source?
I have this set up and although it plays the intro. perfectly (I have checked all the bitrate/channels etc.) it refuses to stream the live audio straight after it (live via. winamp playing an mp3 playlist that is). If I remove the introfile line - all works fine! cheers

Make sure the itnro file is the same frequency (and bitrate, I think) as the actual stream.

Bitrate doesn't really matter. If it were to have a different number of channels then there would be a speed difference (your stream would sound like chipmunks or really slow), if the sample frequency is different your stream will simply not play so that is most likely the problem.

OK - sorted it!
I had the intro file saved as 24k/16k mono - when I'm broadcasting at 24k/22.050k mono. I just resaved the mp3 as 40k/22.050k mono and all works fine. Seems I was confusing bit rate with sample rate (duh!) Thanks again guys (or gals) Raffles

Also, what commands or options in that software. |
