Can I stream SHOUTcast?
Currently there is no SHOUTcast DSP plug for Winamp3. Don't expect seeing one any time soon either. A SHOUTcaster component should be available someday. For now you can use the SHOUTcast DSP from Winamp2 and Winamp2 Plug-in Manager. If you have problems try the Oddcast DSP.

Yeah...BUT...

Great..but..
it wil not work if you want to install de Shoutcast DSP .It looks for WinAmp-2. Only if it finds the file it wil continue.

So..How do i install the DSP for WinAmp-3, if you don't have WinAmp-2??

And that's why the Winamp3 FAQ gets updated.... a lot. Let's have another look at that entry:

Can I stream SHOUTcast?
Currently there is no SHOUTcast DSP plug for Winamp3. A SHOUTcaster component should be available someday. For now you can use the SHOUTcast DSP from Winamp2 and Winamp2 Plug-in Manager. If you have problems try the Oddcast DSP. (A zipped version of the SHOUTcast DSP 1.8.2b is available @ Sawg Stuff).

Thanks for searching before posting though

ok ok...sorry!

Ok Ok I Know!
I did find the OddCast Plugin on the link you gave me, before you gave it to me. I just wondered how to install the Soutcast DSP, if you don't have WA2. And that is not possible. So OddCast is cool!

Thanks!

(Zipped infers no installer)

and just to be clear, I do have a winamp3 version of oddcast DSP, that is available here-> http://www.oddsock.org/tools/oddcastv2 ...this version runs natively under winamp3, i.e. no winamp2 plugin manager stuff needed...

just nitpicking, but shouldn't that be "sorry for the trouble" or "thanks for the help"?

is there anymore info on maybe when they will have it for winamp 3...cause I run a radio and it would be very convenient to have the enqueue/dequeue feature.

You do have that feature with WinAmp2, don't you? Right click on the source file and hit "enqueue in WinAmp". This, in turn, adds the file to the queue in WinAmp.

I'm using the latest version of Winamp, windowsXP, Cable, Pentium4, 120g hard drive, a LYNKSYS wired router, and I'm using Fast-Serv as my stream service this is the link to my station
http://ct1.fast-serv.com:8072/listen.pls
so you can hear how bad it sounds, I hopw I have this post in the right place and if I missed the solution ...please can you direct me there and I'm sorry for posting on a covered subject ..I did look though ..Thank you

I Need Help. Trying to initiate a streaming profile for my online radio using winamp and Listen2myradio. when configuring the shoutcast DSP plug in (v2x) it doesn't connect. I have put in all the passwords that are supposed to or could be associated with that and still nothing. When I put it in Automatic mode, it switches protocols to v1 and still nothing. tries to put in the user name that listen2myradio uses and the password....nothing. can anyone help me please
