WHOA! Are these final....? I sure hope so... I don't want to download some leaked version full of bugs and crap.
But they're at V.2.95 already...? And what the heck is this ad-free version or something? Since when did Winamp come with ads in the first place? Can somebody explain this to me, the eternal newbie...? |

You can uncheck AOD in the Full installer anyway.
Nothing is "final" until you see it on classic.winamp.com. Any file on download.nullsoft.com is subject to change without notice before then. In fact I believe it is already out of date. An updated installer was recently made available to the Beta testers. Minor last minute bugs and things. |

Because the website was not updated. Which mean is not final yet.
No matter if it is on the download servers or not. No matter what the Betanews hacks say. A version of Winamp is not final and officially released until it is put up on classic.winamp.com. Just because it is on the download site, it may not be official. If bugs or problems are found between uploading and updating the website, then the site is not updated until the final version is ready. |

As stated before, the version that was available appeared to already be out of date.

Just wait until the final version is released and let them work the bugs out first. Don't want to keep answering tech posts about people using buggy versions.

will the new version have alpha blended icons? you know, xp icons as in wa3? That's all I'm asking
![]() Oh, and a faster, less resource-eating, video player, like BS-Player. And the Ogg Vorbis encoding is a plus! Keep it up! Now, if the library could update the id3 tags from some nullsoft db... that would be sweet.. So far i have to edit my id3tags manually, getting info from sites like freedb.org or mtv.com (even amazon.com works sometimes).Till then! (If this thread need to be moved, please excuse me... )

Do you have permission to distribute ANY versions of Winamp off your site?
Read the distribution agreement, and ask yourself if you have done any of what is requested within it. http://www.winamp.com/community/promote/distribution/ I'm guessing not, so not only are you distributing a bugged version of a product that isn't released, your doing so without permission of the authors. Your link is wacked until you can prove otherwise. |

Links are working again...
I know the link has not been promoted to classic.winamp.com, so it could be another internal beta. So downloads are at own risk. Seem to be a different gen_ml.dll... (just looking at file tiem stamps) Otto |

Yes, there's one or two fixes implemented in the latest build.
Links are working again. Please delete the old installer and download afresh. As long as it's on download.nullsoft.com you know it's kosher. It becomes official when it's on classic.winamp.com (usually updated Thursdays). Loving it!

So how do we go about modifying the newly skinnable part of the media library? On about 90% of my skins, the background color for a highlighted item is the same as the text color of that item, making it unreadable.

The download links are down again, and when I browse to download.nullsoft.com/winamp/client , it says '403 Forbidden'. What's going on?

I got an idea, why don't you knock off the woodpecker that is sat on your keyboard tapping at the F5 key , and wait until you see it on the main page of classic.winamp.com, what's a few hours longer to wait?
This slavish "must have it now now now" vibe that is running around here is beginning to scare me slightly..... |
