New winamp 5 easter egg?

ok, this works in the rc8 and beta 2 (maybe beta 1)
stretch the main window so you can see the beat visualation, then hold ctrl+alt+shift and click on the little 1 pixle center of the diamond (some times it can be hard to hit, so try again if it didn't work)
i have been visiting here for a few years, just recently signed up.
I dont think this was posted before, sorry if it was

to turn it off, just do the same thing again or restart winamp

That must be the funniest thing I have ever seen. Headbangin' llamas... I will have to play some good metal now, to make it look realistic.

Well... never knew it was an easter egg, but I did go to the player subfolder under the Modern skin and renamed beat_l2.png to beat_left.png (or vice versa) and the same thing for the right and have them there permanently!

Anyways... this is nice cool way to get it too and much easier and fun

I didn't think about that, thanks for the tip.
But I still think bart should fix it

edit: nope, it's not the same, you still have the overlay which adds some ugly lines on top of the llamas..
Nope, we can't have that, baaaart: FIX!!

Well... yeah... I just tried interchanging file names in my PC at work and it does not work! Those lines you mentioned appears. The PC I've got in my office is a P IV 2.4Ghz 512ddr and 64MB Graphics. At home where I've got just a PIII 550Mhz, 512SDRam and 16MB graphics, it works perfectly No lines, no probs whatsoever. And yes, both have XP pro on them. Wonder whats up... to top it, double clicking on the l2.png, r2.png, left and right png does not even display the picture on my Irfan view whereas it did so at home

Try enabling 'Show PNG alpha/transparency color' in Irfanview's properties (under 'Misc. 1').

Actually, this was the reason I had asked in the Winamp 5.0rc8 Discussion
Quote:
Wonder if there is a way of manually incorporating the VIS (Advanced Mde) that the MMD3 skin has into the Modern skin - You know... the one that has the lady singing and the lil group dancing.

Would this be possible by copying/ extracting a portion from the xml files?

ummm, i went to try this, and i can see the llamas and all, but it drew attention to the fact that there is no beat recognition going on at all. the oscilliscope is a straight line. anyone know why? it was working about half an hour ago. . .

@InvertedParadox: Do you have DrO's Extended Playlist preview plugin installed? There's something weird about it that blocks the function of the vis data, so that might be it. could also be some other third party plugin.

//edit// I tried copying those pictures from the MMD3 skin and naming them left & right, but does not work with that! //edit//
