'No Media in Device' Startup check for Cardreader

Hiho
I've got a card reader permanently installed in my PC, and at startup Winamp appearently checks the devices assigned to the various card formats (CF, SM, etc).
As there are no cards of all formats in the according slot, it complains there is no Media in the Device at the startup, which is the most annoying thing ever, as I get 4 error messages every time winamp starts.
No other program has problems with that, they all ignore the card reader devices. How can I tell Winamp what devices to check for media at startup?
Boy this is such a pain, might as well use friggin iTunes... ;-)
PLEEEEEASE help ASAP
Thanks & Cheers
Felix
